Creating a Winning TV Series Pitch  Bible...

…and having it in hand at the end of the course.

TV Writers and Television Show Creators:

You have a great idea for a TV series, right?

You have a new, fresh and original take for your show even if it is a topic or situation we are familiar with, right?

You are looking at this world, the concept of your show in a way that has never been seen before, because it is coming from your own personal experiences, right?

Well, all we have to do now is get that across to TV producers and executives in a succinct fashion and be able to demonstrate this.

That is what this 4-week interactive online course is all about.

The TV Series Pitch Bible is the most important document is getting you show made or sold because it proves not only that you have a great, new and fresh show but that it can go several seasons, and, that you, as a show creator and writer know what you are doing to help make this happen.

We are talking about a document that describes and articulates precisely what your show is.  A conceptual specific outline; an in depth look at the world of the show, the characters, what happens there--how and why.   And, it demonstrates that your TV Series is a cool and new turn on the genre--the fresh spin all producers look for.

The TV Series Pitch Bible is the proof that your show is unique, original, timely and can easily go several seasons.

The goal of this course is that upon completion you have a kickass 7 to 10-page written TV series pitch bible for your show or idea in hand and on file.

In This Course/Workshop:

You will not just learn how to create a winning TV series pitch bible, but you will actually be creating one for your current TV or web series idea during the course and in class, week after week, while being guided and coached  every step of the way.

You will learn how to put “you” into your TV series pitch bible by not only conveying your own unique voice on the page but by actually injecting your take and POV on to your show premise from your life experiences and weaving this into your document in story form.

You will learn how to immediately be suggesting and building the story engine on every page through the interweaving of relationships, the lines of repeatable conflicts and other tools thus giving readers (producers) an idea of what the episodes could be long before we even get to the pilot synopsis.

You will be building from the ground up.  Terry will be using one of his own TV show ideas and the pitch bible he created as the model.  The advantage with this methodology is that students will now see and learn from the process, instead of just deconstructing shows that are already proven winners.

You will be getting written notes and pointed attention every week.  After the  workshop of that week, students will take what they learned to the page immediately and apply it to their pitch bible work-in-progress.  They then send Terry their pages from that week and receive notes as to revise prior to the next week's workshop.

We will build and shape incrementally, week to week, until you complete your TV series pitch bible which naturally will be few days or so (final touch-ups) after the last class week.  This is to insure you are on track and getting it in real time while making certain that your concept is fresh, new and you.

Classes are interactive and include a thorough question and answer period as to any concerns you may have.

Recordings will also be available as to review and go over any sticking points.

Do I need to have a completed pilot of my series to take the course?  No, if you have one that is fine as going through the process of creating your pitch bible will make it better.  However, having a rough idea of what your series is, the characters, and a rough idea of the events (premise, logline or idea pages) will be enough.
