BIO: Terry McFadden is an award winning Writer, Script Doctor and Writing Coach who is dedicated to helping TV Writers and Screenwriters find and hone their own unique voice bringing the heart and soul of “their story” to the page in ways that only they can. He has been working as a professional Story Analyst for production companies, studios and the individual writer since 1998. He has analyzed, edited, revised and given studio notes on hundreds of screenplays, TV pilots and supporting documents as well as ghostwriting, co-writing and script development.
As a consultant and story analyst for some very major production companies or their affiliates, Terry’s job was to take an in depth look at the screenplays, teleplays and pilots that were already under consideration for backing and financing to be made. His notes, expertise and experience was a determining factor as to whether his clients would support these projects or not. Just a few of the noteworthy scripts he consulted on that made it to the big screen to date, include: The Truth about Charlie written by Peter Stone and Jonathan Demme; The Good Girl written by Mike White; Confessions of a Dangerous Mind by Charlie Kaufman and People I Know by John Robin Baitz. He has consulted on projects starring (among many others) Al Pacino, Julia Roberts, Michael Keaton, Drew Barrymore and Sam Rockwell. As a playwright, Terry has been produced 100 times in the United States and abroad and was recognized in June, 2013 as the winner of the Raymond J. Flores award for Best One Act Play of the year. Terry also has several of his own screenplays out there as well as a TV pilot, a TV web series called Life Coaches and Rock Stars, a Zoom talk show with Industry pros called Backstory with Terry McFadden and a web series in Preproduction called The Other Side of Hollywood. |
